As an estate lawyer in Fairfax, Rhonda A. Miller understands that the relationship between attorney and client is one built upon trust and experience. She also understands that one size does not fit all, and finding the right fit is essential. When the fit is right, clients often claim that our services have a dramatic impact on their lives.

I’m not sure you offer the legal services I’m looking for. How can I find out?
You’ve taken the first step by visiting our website. Please explore the rest of the site to learn more about the areas of law we practice. If you need more information, please call our Fairfax office. Rhonda will be happy to speak with you about your specific legal needs.
I see that your firm offers the type of legal service I need, but I’m still not sure you’re a good fit. How can I learn more?
Because finding that “right fit” is so important, Rhonda often recommends starting with a brief phone call. We are happy to schedule a no-obligation, 15-minute phone call during which you can learn more about us and, equally as important, we can learn more about you. After that call, if the fit seems right, the next step would be for you to visit the office for an initial consultation.
Do you charge for the initial consultation?
Initial consultation appointments typically include an in-depth analysis of your current situation, along with our recommendations for the type of legal planning suited to your needs. For this reason, we do charge for the meeting. Should Rhonda determine that she is a good fit for your case and you decide to retain our firm’s services, the consultation fee is applied to the total cost of your plan. Please call today to inquire about our consultation fees.
What can I expect during my initial consultation?
A typical consultation lasts approximately 1-2 hours and is your first in-depth discussion with Rhonda about your situation. You can expect lots of questions from the attorney to help her formulate a specific recommendation for you, along with ample time for you to ask any questions you may have. At the conclusion of the meeting, Rhonda will provide you with a quote.
Is there anything I should do to prepare for the consultation?
The more information you can provide us before your meeting, the more productive and efficient it will be. Therefore, we ask you to complete a worksheet which has been designed not only to provide us with information, but also to help you prepare for the kinds of things you will be discussing with the attorney. We ask you to return your completed worksheet to us prior to your meeting to allow Rhonda the opportunity to become familiar with your situation. Of course, all information provided is completely confidential.
How do you charge for your services?
Most services are offered on a flat fee basis. This means that the quoted fee is all-inclusive, and we will provide a detailed listing of the services included so there will be no surprises. We require full payment before we begin working on your case. As mentioned above, the initial consultation fee is rolled into your cost if you hire our firm.
Do you ever bill by the hour?
There are certain circumstances under which we do bill by the hour. This would be for cases involving an uncertain or ongoing amount of work. We will let you know in advance if your case will be billed hourly.
If I am charged a flat fee for my legal planning, will I also be charged extra for phone calls or emails?
Never. We don’t believe in nickel-and-diming our clients, and are always happy to hear from you. Communication is very important to us, so no question is too small.
I am talking to a few attorneys, can I get a quote over the phone?
Because each client is different, and each situation is unique, Rhonda never produces a cookie-cutter legal plan. Therefore, before offering a price quote, she needs to take time to understand all aspects of your specific legal needs. Rhonda approaches each case like a contractor approaches building a house. You need to find out exactly what the client wants before you can create a plan. You need to sit down with an attorney for the initial meeting before we can create the plan.
I found an attorney whose fees are much lower than yours. What do you provide that they don’t?
Our clients appreciate that our plans are highly personalized. Rhonda’s holistic approach to planning means she carefully analyzes and considers all aspects of your life when designing the right plan for you. She listens to your goals and make sure they’re being achieved. She is a highly sought after Continuing Legal Education provider, so she understands the cutting edge planning it takes to address all of the what ifs. This cannot be done without a great deal of interaction, communication, and good old-fashioned face-to-face time with the attorney.
I have an urgent matter that cannot wait. Can you accommodate me?
